Preparing for your first cold plunge requires some planning and preparation. Here are some steps to help you get ready:

  1. Pick a time that you can commit to. We recommend starting your day with it so you can feel energy and focus throughout the day. But the best time to plunge is the time you can plunge! 
  2. Start small. Many experts recommend just a few minutes 3 days a week. Set yourself up for success. The most important thing is to build a habit. Work your way up to longer plunges if you want!
  3. Yes, it is cool to plunge at very low temperatures. But did you know your body can experience most of the benefits starting at 59°F? Trust us…that is still very cold especially if you are just starting out! Don’t believe us? Most cold showers are around 70°F!
  4. Breathe…just breathe. Stay calm and relaxed before and during the plunge. Deep breaths can help you manage any initial shock from the cold water.
